The Challenge
The dearth of technical talent has seen organizations and governments outsource services, further widening the knowledge and skills gap. Addressing this challenge requires creating an environment to promote digital literacy and providing the tools to ensure more people get the best out of tech.
The client wanted a talent development program to drive increased digital education and skill acquisition, create world-class developers, and position the state as a tech hub.
Our Approach
We adopted a multifaceted approach that involved presentations, technical training and projects, content creation and promotion, organizing a months-long boot camp, and providing media coverage for the duration of the program.
The Outcome
The program did not only significantly raise awareness about the importance of digital literacy, but it also contributed to closing the skills gap by imparting practical, in-demand skills to participants, and creating a pool of competent software developers.
As a result, Ekiti State has begun to establish itself as a tech hub, attracting attention from within and outside the region as a hub for innovation and technical excellence.
