Africa faces over $80 billion in annual trade finance gaps, constraining exporters and small-scale producers across mineral and agricultural value chains. Roundtable insights revealed that despite strong production capacity, most commodities leave the continent in raw form, limiting local value capture. With intra-African trade still at just 15–18%, this points to a structural gap in coordination, financing, and cross-border execution.
